Cookie Policy

The cookies and browser storage we use, what each one does, and how you can control them.

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how IKESON Technology Solutions (“HalalNearby”) uses cookies and similar browser storage (such as localStorage) on halalnearby.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage like localStorage works similarly, keeping small pieces of information on your device so the Service can remember things between visits. We use both, but only for a small, focused set of purposes.

Essential cookies and storage we use

  • Authentication / session. When you sign in, we set a session cookie (via Better Auth) so you stay logged in as you move between pages. Without it, you could not stay signed in.
  • Favorites. We remember the listings you save so your favorites persist on your device.
  • Cookie-consent choice. When you accept our cookie notice, we store that choice in localStorage so the banner does not reappear on every visit.

These are essential to operate the features you ask for, so they are not optional while you use the Service.

Analytics & tracking

We operate first-party view-tracking to understand which listings are useful. We do not sell your data, and we keep tracking first-party and minimal. If we add any non-essential analytics in the future, we will update this policy and our consent notice accordingly.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies and site storage through your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking essential cookies will sign you out and may break parts of the Service, such as staying logged in or keeping your favorites.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
